Reactive Abuse Is Not Abuse
What is reactive abuse? It is when the abuse victim snaps from the pressure, pain, punishment, control, and crazymaking and does something to the abuser that could be labeled as abusive. The victim feels bad about the reaction and the abuser blames the victim. The victim's reaction does not qualify as abuse. It is a totally different behavior. It isn't always easy to identify dysfunctional dynamics in a relationship. You can't diagnose people and figure out all the complex behavior that doesn't make sense. You can't always be unbiased in how you view them. There is something you can focus on: how you feel with a toxic vs a healthy person. Unhealthy people negatively impact our bodies, emotions, and spirit. We often ignore these signs but if we want insight, it is important to pay attention. Ask yourself: how do you feel with a toxic vs a healthy person. You will be surprised at what you find out. #dysfunctionalrelationship #toxicrelationship #healthyrelationships #christianrelationships

My Husband Weaponized Scripture to Emotionally and Spiritually Abuse Me
Monday Nov 11, 2024
Monday Nov 11, 2024
Even though they looked perfect from the outside to everyone who knew them and held a prominent position in the community, life within their home was anything but perfect. Wendy describes her journey in an emotionally and spiritually abusive marriage where her husband weaponized scripture. Truth was mixed with untruth increasing the confusion and self-doubt. Anyone who has been gaslit, manipulated, abused. or controlled will identify with Wendy's experience of doubting herself and feeling confused enough to accept the blame and question her sanity. It took thirty-five years for Wendy to get the necessary clarity to see the dynamics for what they were and the strength to initiate a separation. #weaponizedscripture #spiritualabuse #toxicrelationship #gaslighting

How Not to Be Double-Minded When Making Decisions as a Christian
Thursday Nov 07, 2024
Thursday Nov 07, 2024
As Christians, we want to know God's will for our lives. When we make decisions, we seek guidance that we can trust. We get it from numerous sources: the Bible, pastors, things we hear, things we read, social media posts, friends, counselors, and more.
The problem is that we often become double-minded because we consider everything we hear and see as equal. God's wisdom is available for all who seek it, as James 1:5-6 says, but you will become confused if you don't hear it in the right frame of mind.
Watch this video to get clarity on your decision-making as a Christian...

Monday Nov 04, 2024
Monday Nov 04, 2024
Detaching in relationships is necessary to observe to learn the dysfunctional family dynamics you are dealing with. It is easy to be so entangled with your family that you cannot see what is going on. To be able to interact differently, you have to identify what you typically do and what the other people do. Detaching in the relationships by observing to learn is what you need to do. #detachment #detachinlove #familydysfunction

His Name Is Stephen--My Healing Journey After Abortion
Monday Oct 28, 2024
Monday Oct 28, 2024
Susan Justice is a retired nurse, author, and speaker, sharing the devastation of abortion and her healing through Jesus Christ. Susan uses her testimony to promote life-affirming solutions to persons facing unintended pregnancies and to share healing avenues with those impacted by abortion, honor her child, share the emotional/spiritual/relational “fall-out” that occurred, and educate on “Post Abortion Syndrome.” She desires to proclaim that healing is available through Jesus Christ for moms and dads.
Tragically, 18% (or nearly 1 out of every 5 pregnancies) in the U.S. end in abortion. One in four women (25%) have had an abortion by the age of 45. Fifty percent of those are repeat abortions. Sixty percent of those having abortions felt coerced. Forty- four percent of men report they did not have a voice in the abortion decision. Twenty-two million people are currently hurting after their abortion experiences. Eighty-two percent of people impacted by abortion do not know where to go for help. Medication abortion accounted for 53% of all facility-based abortions in the United States in 2020. That trend appears to be continuing.
Susan served in the past as the Coordinator of an Abortion Recovery Ministry at a Pro-Life Pregnancy Care Center. She has published articleswith Live Action, Pregnancy Help News, and other Pro-life media outlets. She has been the featured speaker on radio, at churches, banquets, and other venues. Susan is married to her best friend. They have two sons. Susan's booklet Out of Grief and Into Wholeness: Finding Healing Through Christ After Abortion (https://a.co/d/inPTAJS) is available on Amazon. (All proceeds are donated to Pro-life Pregnancy Resource Centers.)
